0903 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds, or gilts, fall as investors anticipate that the Bank of England will cut interest rates in a decision on Thursday. U.K. money markets show an 85% chance of a rate cut this week, followed by at least one more reduction next year, LSEG data show. Markets expect a split vote to cut rates, however, given high inflation. Before Thursday's BOE's decision, investors will closely watch U.K. jobs and inflation data on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. "The market is heavily priced for a cut, but there is still scope for last minute jeopardy from data and a split Monetary Policy Committee," Citi analysts say in a note. The 10-year gilt yield falls 2.5 basis points to 4.493%, Tradeweb data show. (jessica.fleetham@wsj.com)
