Almonty Industries (ALM) said Tuesday the first truckload of ore was delivered to the run-of-mine pad at the Sangdong tungsten mine in South Korea, marking the last step before the start of commercial production.
The ore on the pad will now be sent to crushing, to be followed by grinding to reach a particle size suitable for processing, the company said.
The material will then be sent to the flotation circuit, where tungsten-bearing minerals will be sorted and packaged before being shipped to downstream clients, the company said.
Almonty shares were up 4.1% in recent trading Tuesday.
