Next Moving into Footwear Makes Sense -- Market Talk
Dow Jones12-15
1030 GMT - Next acquiring or taking a stake in shoe retailer Russell & Bromley makes a lot of sense, AJ Bell's Dan Coatsworth writes. "Footwear is the missing piece of the puzzle," he adds. The U.K. retailer has brought clothing, lingerie and furniture brands and connects them with its total platform system, he writes. This runs their logistics, e-commerce and returns services, and makes them more efficient, he adds. "A lot of Next's success is down to having a well-oiled machine, with a close eye on costs, logistics and inventory," Coatsworth says. Next shares trade up 0.2% at 133.95 pounds.
