Nagase & Co (TYO:8012) and ground shipper Nippon Express (TYO:9147) have agreed to work together to provide logistics services for companies entering India's emerging semiconductor sector, Nikkei reported Tuesday.
Under a memorandum of understanding, the two will target Japanese and Taiwanese firms planning operations in the Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat, which is being developed as a semiconductor hub, according to the report.
The partnership will cover imports, storage and transport of semiconductor materials. Nagase will source materials and chemicals, manage regulatory procedures and choose transport options, while Nippon Express will handle shipping, warehousing and delivery, including temperature- and vibration-controlled transport, the report said.
