Market Chatter: Filing Reveals 10 Billion Yen Windfall for Investor in SBI Shinsei Bank Listing

MT Newswires Live12-16

SBI Shinsei Bank (TYO:8303) begins trading this week, a move that could result in a 10 billion yen payment to Aya Nomura, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.

According to its Japanese prospectus, this payment stems from an agreement made when Nomura sold her stake to SBI Holdings in January, said the news wire.

Notably, this detail appears on page 315 of the 348-page document but is absent from the English-language version provided to global investors, the publication said.

Nomura is recognized as one of Japan's wealthiest women and a prominent activist investor, the report added.
