Barrick Mining (B) has regained control of the Loulo-Gounkoto gold mine in Mali and is set to receive back three tons of gold after resolving a long-running dispute with the local government, Bloomberg News reported Monday.
The restitution has already been ordered, with the return of the confiscated gold and mine handover set to follow the formal completion of legal proceedings, the news outlet reported, citing Barrick's legal representative.
The company didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Barrick shares were down 1.2% in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
