Alkane Resources (ASX:ALK) found gold-bearing quartz veins to a depth of 464 meters, more than doubling the previous tested depth of 200 meters, at the Storheden deposit within its Björkdal operation in Sweden, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling to the east and west also extended the strike length of known mineralization to over 2.7 kilometers, with the deposit remaining open and having no indications of diminishing grade at depth, the filing said.
The company will restart drilling next year and continue to grow the resources and mineralization framework at the deposit, per the filing.
