Sable Offshore (SOC) shares rose 54% in recent Thursday trading after the US Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) classified the company's Las Flores Pipeline connecting the Santa Ynez unit to the Pentland Station terminal in Kern County, California, as an interstate pipeline facility.
The PHMSA also considers the pipeline system to be an active pipeline according to its regulations, according to a Thursday regulatory filing
