Starbucks Names Anand Varadarajan as Chief Technology Officer

Starbucks (SBUX) said Friday it has selected Anand Varadarajan as chief technology officer, starting Jan. 19.

Varadarajan will succeed Deb Hall Lefevre, who retired in September, the company said.

Varadarajan will join Starbucks from Amazon.com (AMZN). He is currently vice president for Worldwide Grocery Technology and Supply Chain at Amazon, according to his LinkedIn profile.
