1224 ET - Nike's North America business shows the company's turnaround strategy is starting to work, Jefferies says in a note. The segment posted an 8.8% increase in sales, with wholesale up 24%. The growth was supported by disciplined inventory management and strong partnerships, the analysts say. Running, basketball and training were all strong, they say. Management expects modest growth in North America during the current F3Q. The analysts expect full-price selling to represent a larger growth contribution, signaling a shift to a more sustainable wholesale business in the region, they say. Nike sinks 10%.
