Malaysia's Total Trade Jumps 11.1% in November

Malaysia's total trade rose 11.1% year on year to 263.8 billion ringgit in November, driven by growth in both exports and imports, data from the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM) on Friday showed.

Exports rose 7% on year to 135.0 billion ringgit, while imports climbed 15.8% year on year to 128.9 billion ringgit.

However, the trade balance plunged 58.8% year on year to 6.1 billion ringgit from 14.8 billion ringgit, DoSM said.

For the January to November period, exports rose 6.1%, imports increased 5.6%, and total trade expanded 5.8%, lifting the trade balance by 10.7%, the data showed.
