NFI Group appointed John Sapp as its next chief executive officer, effective in the new year.

NFI said Sapp is slated to succeed Paul Soubry, who is retiring after a 16-year career at the Canadian bus manufacturer, on Jan. 1.

Sapp joins NFI from Eaton Corporation, where he led the aerospace division beginning in 2023. Before that, he held a series of management positions at Collins Aerospace and GE Aviation.

Sapp will also take Soubry's seat on the board of directors, NFI said. Soubry will support the transition in an advisory role over the next year, the company said.
