South Korea's LG Energy Solution ends $6.5 billion EV battery-supply deal with Ford SEOUL, Dec 17 (Reuters) - South Korea's LG Energy Solution 373220.KS said on Wednesday that it has terminated an electric vehicle $(EV)$ battery-supply deal with Ford Motor F.N worth about 9.6 trillion won ($6.50 billion).
The South Korean battery maker said in a regulatory filing that the termination followed a notice from Ford after the automaker decided to halt production of some EV models due to policy changes and shifts in outlook for EV demand.
