--Universal Music Group offered to sell its royalty services platform Curve to address the European Commission's concerns over its planned $775 million acquisition of Downtown Music, Reuters reports, citing an unnamed source.

--UMG put forward the proposal last week. It told Reuters the company offered a robust remedy to the commission but didn't give any further details.
