Seyond (HKG:2665) is facing patent infringement lawsuits from lidar sensor manufacturer Hesai (HKG:2525), according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.

Seyond shares fell over 3% in morning trade Friday, while Hesai gained over 3%.

The lawsuits, filed in the Hangzhou city court, allege that Seyond infringed on Hesai's LiDAR system utility model patent and its optical transmission module, laser transmitting module, and LiDAR system and vehicle invention patent.

In both cases, Hesai is seeking 10 million yuan in damages.

Seyond denied it infringed on any of Hesai's patents and said it was preparing to defend itself against the claims.
