PANAMA CITY, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Copa Airlines said on Wednesday it will begin daily operations to Maracaibo, Venezuela, from Dec. 20, following a suspension of flights to the country.
• Copa successfully completed a test flight to La Chinita International Airport in Maracaibo and determined it safe to operate there.
• The airport has systems that mitigate operational risks from potential navigation signal interruptions, the airline said in a statement.
• On Tuesday Copa said it had extended a temporary suspension of flights to Caracas until Jan. 15, 2026, citing the need for the airport’s main runway and landing system to become operational.
