Investors to Focus on Vote Split During BOE Rate Decision -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-17

1413 GMT - Investors will likely pay close attention to the vote split at the Bank of England's interest-rate decision on Thursday to gain insights on the possible path of future rate cuts, RBC Capital Markets' Cathal Kennedy says in a note. RBC expects a tight vote of five to four votes in favor of a 25 basis-point rate cut. A wider vote in favor of a BOE rate cut would signal potentially more or faster rate cuts in the coming months, Kennedy says. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
