Avolta said it won a concession to operate inbound and outbound duty-free stores at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

The Swiss travel-retail group said late Wednesday that Shanghai Pudong International Airport will be the first airport in Asia Pacific where the company will operate all duty-free, convenience and food-and-beverage businesses.

The company said the concession award makes it the first international operator to enter mainland China's airport duty-free segment in a generation, and supports the group's 2027 targets.
