Singtel's (SGX:Z74) Australian unit, Optus, disclosed the findings of a review led by independent director, Kerry Schott, in connection with a recent degradation of triple zero services across Australia, reporting gaps in process, accountability and escalation and protocols requiring urgent attention.
The board has accepted Schott's recommendations and agreed to implement necessary changes, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
The recommendations are aimed at addressing the shortcomings identified in the Schott Review during the company's initial response to the incident.
