Torm PLC Names Simon Smith as New Board Chair

Torm PLC named Simon Smith as chair of the board.

Smith succeeds Chris Boehringer as part of a planned transition process, the shipping company said Tuesday.

Smith is currently chair of Dowlais Group and a non-executive director at Interpath Limited. He worked in corporate finance and investment banking for 35 years.

Boehringer was appointed chair in 2015 and will continue to serve as a board member.
