EastGroup Promotes 5 Executives, Including Wood to COO

EastGroup is promoting a group of executives in the new year.

Brent Wood, currently chief financial officer, will assume the newly created role of chief operating officer effective Jan. 1. He will oversee leasing and asset and property management for EastGroup, the real estate investment trust said Tuesday.

Staci Tyler, currently chief administrative officer and chief accounting officer, will succeed him as CFO.

The company also elevated Rein Dunbar to the president role. Dunbar currently oversees the company's central region.

Michelle Rayner, who serves as controller, will succeed Tyler as chief accounting officer.

The company also said John Coleman, the executive vice president of the company's eastern region, will retire at the end of June. He will be succeeded by Todd Johnson, currently senior vice president of Florida.
