Antofagasta agrees zero copper processing charges for 2026 with Chinese smelter -sourcesDec 19 (Reuters) - Chilean miner Antofagasta ANTO.L has agreed treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) for 2026 of $0 per ton and 0 cents per pound with a Chinese smelter, two sources with knowledge of the matter said on Friday.
The deal, reached after protracted negotiations, compares to charges of $21.25 a ton and 2.125 cents per lb for 2025 agreed last December and matches a mid-year deal between Antofagasta and Chinese smelters at zero levels.
