Malaysian Shares Snap Winning Streak; TFP Solutions Shares Slump 17%

Malaysian shares ended flat but in negative territory on Wednesday, snapping gains of the previous sessions. The mixed U.S. jobs data failed to boost investor optimism.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI shed 6.87 points to end 0.4% lower at 1,641.44. The day range was between 1,639.13 and 1,646.66.

In corporate news, shares of TFP Solutions (KLSE:TFP) plunged about 17% on close after Bursa Securities approved its listing and quotation of up to 194.3 million shares under a proposed private placement.

Shares of Top Glove (SGX:BVA, KLSE:TOPGLOV) gained over 2% at today's close in Malaysia after its attributable profit to owners jumped to 38.6 million ringgit for the fiscal first quarter ended Nov. 30 from 5.5 million ringgit a year earlier.

Shares of United Malacca (KLSE:UMCCA) slid 1% on close after its group produced 44,224 tonnes of fresh fruit bunches in November. Crude palm oil production came in at 13,009 tonnes, while palm kernel totaled 2,798 tonnes.
