Pop Mart's Business May Face Some Challenges in 2026 -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-22 11:35

0335 GMT - Pop Mart International's business might face some challenges in 2026, according to Deutsche Bank's Sammi Xu in commentary. "We sense the sentiment on Pop Mart has gradually declined towards year end and investors generally hold a more cautious view on its [intellectual property] cycle and 2026 revenue forecast," the analyst says. This is mainly due to less store traffic and social-media discussion, as well as weak holiday sales in the U.S., Xu says. Investors are cautious about the 2026 outlook, Xu says. If Pop Mart can launch another blockbuster IP that enjoys similar popularity to Labubu, investors' concerns would likely to be alleviated, Xu notes. DB has a hold rating on the stock, with a target price of HK$228.00. Shares last traded at HK$200.40. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
