HOLCIM HOLN.S
A court in Switzerland has decided to admit a legal complaint linked to global warming against Swiss cement maker Holcim which alleges the company is doing too little to cut carbon emissions, parties to the case said on Monday.
ROCHE ROG.S
Deals between pharmaceutical companies and Washington to reduce prices for medicines in the United States will likely push up the cost of new drugs in Switzerland, the CEO of Swiss pharma giant Roche ROG.S was quoted as saying on Saturday.
COMPANY STATEMENTS
* Novartis said on Friday novartis and the U.S. government had reached agreement on lowering drug prices in the U.S.
* Alcon said on Friday it had exercised right to require Staar Surgical to adjourn its special meeting of stockholders, now to be held January 6.
* Georg Fischer said on Friday it would propose candidacy of Ton Buechner to its board of directors at annual shareholders' meeting 2026.
