Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Pre-Bell Tuesday

Financial stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Tuesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) declining by 0.1%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.1% higher.

Blackstone (BX) said it has agreed to acquire Hamilton Island in Queensland, Australia, from the Oatley family. Shares of Blackstone were down more than 1% premarket.

TPG (TPG) said it has agreed to buy a majority stake in Conservice, a utility management platform for the property management sector. TPG stock was up 0.4% pre-bell.

DeFi Technologies (DEFT) said it launched Brazilian Depositary Receipts representing its Nasdaq-listed common shares on Brazilian stock exchange B3. DeFi Technologies shares were down 0.8% premarket.
