IGO Starts Commissioning of Chemical-Grade Plant at Western Australia Lithium Operations

IGO (ASX:IGO) started the commissioning of its chemical-grade plant 3 at the Greenbushes lithium mining and processing operations in Western Australia, with the first ore fed into the plant on Dec. 18, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The plant, with a capacity of around 500,000 tonnes per year of spodumene concentrate, brings Greenbushes' total spodumene production to about 2.1 million tonnes, the filing added.
