Elixir Energy (ASX:EXR) secured a 15-year renewal of its authority to prospect (ATP2044) and was granted a potential commercial area (PCA356) covering 1,058 square kilometers at Queensland's Taroom Trough, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The PCA356 contains 1.362 trillion cubic feet of gas equivalent in independently certified 2C contingent gas resources identified through the drilling of the Daydream-2 exploration well in 2024, per the filing.
The full retention, secured without any partial relinquishment, supports phase 1 of the company's strategic plan and preserves its substantial acreage in the Taroom Trough, the filing added.
