Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) down 0.1% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) 0.4% higher.
Tesla (TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk has become the first person to accumulate a net worth of more than $700 billion, according to Forbes' billionaire index. Tesla stock was up more than 1% premarket.
