CGN Power (HKG:1816, SHE:003816) said full construction of Lufeng Unit 2 has commenced after the unit achieved first concrete for the reactor's main plant, marking the start of the civil construction phase, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Hong Kong-listed shares of the power company were up over 1% in Tuesday morning trade.
Lufeng Unit 2 has an installed capacity of 1,245 megawatts and is being developed by CGN Lufeng Nuclear Power, a subsidiary of the company.
