Coupang (CPNG) is facing an in-depth tax probe, including transactions linked to its US headquarters, by South Korea's tax authorities, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday, citing industry sources.
The National Tax Service sent an investigative team to the company's Seoul headquarters earlier Monday, the sources told the news agency.
While the official target is Coupang's logistics unit, sources told the news agency that the review will likely cover broader group-level transactions.
The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
