Petrobras' (PBR) Tupi field in Brazil's Santos Basin briefly attained a production pace this week that, if sustained for a full day, would amount to 1 million barrels, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing three sources familiar with the matter.

The achievement suggests that the field is on track to return to production of 1 million barrels per day, one of the sources said.

Petrobras did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
