BUZZ-Gold miners edge higher as bullion hits fresh record highs

** U.S.-listed shares of gold miners climb premarket on Friday, as bullion price hit another record high GOL/

** Spot gold XAU= rose 0.8% to $4,515.73 per ounce, as of 0818 GMT, after touching a record $4,530.60 earlier

** Bullion price extends rally, driven by speculative bets, expectations of further U.S. rate cuts and escalating geopolitical tensions

** Top miners Newmont NEM.N and Barrick Mining B.N ABX.TO up 1.6% and 1.2%, respectively

** U.S.-listed shares of South African miners Gold Fields GFI.N, and Sibanye Stillwater SBSW.N rise between 1.2% and 2.8%

** U.S. listed shares of Canadian miners Agnico Eagle Mines AEM.N AEM.TO and Kinross Gold KGC.N K.TO edge up 1.2% and 0.9%
