Ubtech Robotics (HKG:9880) secured a $37 million contract to deploy its Walker S2 robot this month, Wion reported Wednesday.

The robots, which are developed to patrol, manage crowd flow and guide travelers, will be deployed in Guangxi, China, near the border of Vietnam, the report said.

The humanoid robot uses a dual-loop artificial intelligence or AI system called BrainNet 2.0, which allows autonomous control and decision making, the report said.
