REC (NSE:RECLTD, BOM:532955) said Apta Power Transmission has been established as a wholly owned unit of REC Power Development and Consultancy, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.

The new entity has been set up to develop the 765/400/220 kV air-insulated substation (AIS) at Apta in Maharashtra's Raigad district, the filing said.

Apta Power Transmission has an authorized and paid-up capital of 500,000 Indian rupees each, according to the filing.

REC shares rose over 1% in Friday's early trade.
