Malaysian Stocks End Four-Day Winning Streak; TRC Synergy's Shares Rise 4%

Malaysian stocks snapped their four-day winning streak to end in the red on Friday, after the Christmas Day holiday.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI shed 1.2 points to end 0.07% lower at 1,677.10. The day range was between 1,670.83 and 1,678.29.

In corporate news, shares of TRC Synergy (KLSE:TRC) rose over 4% on close after its unit Trans Resources secured a deal worth 550.8 million ringgit from SRS Consortium for the LRT Pulau Pinang - Laluan Mutiara (MTL) CMC1 sub-package.

Meanwhile, shares of NationGate (KLSE:NATGATE) slid 2% on close after its unit NationGate System agreed to acquire Valeo Malaysia CDA for 60.9 million ringgit.

Shares of REDtone Digital (KLSE:REDTONE) slid over 1% on close after it completed its warrant issue by listing and quoting 386.5 million warrants on Friday.
