Kraft Heinz Closes Plasmon Sale for $146 Million in Cash

Kraft Heinz (KHC) has closed its sale of Plasmon to Princes Group's parent company, NewPrinces, for 124.3 million euros ($146 million) in cash, Princes Group said Wednesday.

Plasmon is a newly established company owning the business relating to the manufacturing, packaging, marketing, selling and distribution of baby food and specialty nutrition food products, as well as other assets in Italy.

Separately, NewPrinces said Plasmon has signed a license deal with Kraft Heinz for the use of the Nutrimune technology and brand. The deal grants exclusive rights for Italy, Vatican City and San Marino, and non-exclusive rights in other international markets, the company said.
