Mondelez International expanded its recall of its Chips Ahoy! Baked Bites Brookie in the U.S. due to potential choking hazard.

The snack-food company, whose portfolio also includes Oreo, Cadbury, Toblerone and Ritz, said Tuesday that the latest recall includes one more production date--May 10, 2026--and two additional pouch universal product codes found inside the recalled cartons.

Mondelez said that the voluntary recall is due to an incorrect mixing process in which small corn starch clumps were produced and could constitute a choking hazard, particularly for young children and the elderly.

So far, there haven't been any reports of injury or illness reported to the company related to this product, Mondelez said, adding that it is conducting the recall in an abundance of caution.

The recall now covers Chips Ahoy! Baked Bites Brookie products with 'Best When Used By' dates of May 9, 2026 through May 18, 2026.
