European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise Tuesday

European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were rising Tuesday morning, up 0.5% to 1,691.46 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by Spanish banks Santander (SAN) and BBVA (BBVA), which rose 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively.

They were followed by clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Inventiva (IVA), which added 1.3%.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by clinical-stage biotech company Abivax (ABVX) and biopharmaceutical company Cellectis (CLLS), which fell 3.5% and 3.2%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL) and financial services company Barclays (BCS), which climbed 2.4% and 1.1%, respectively.

They were followed by energy giant BP (BP), which rose 1%.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), which shed 1.4%.
