First Ship Lease Trust Extends Bareboat Charters; Shares Surge 15%

First Ship Lease Trust (SGX:D8DU) extended charters for its product tankers with James Fisher Everard for periods from five months up to four years, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the ship leasing company were up nearly 15% in Wednesday trading.

Additionally, the two parties also agreed on options to terminate to be removed from the charters of Shannon Fisher and Solway Fisher.

Following the conclusion of negotiations, the company has added $12.3 million in contracted future revenue.
