Hanwha Systems (KRX:272210) signed a 40 billion-won contract with the Philippine Navy to supply advanced combat management systems (CMS) to the latter, the South Korean defense firm said in a Wednesday release.
Under the contract, the company will provide CMS and tactical data links to two 3,200-ton next-generation frigates of the Philippine Navy. The equipment will be customized for the Philippines' island-based operating conditions, according to Hanwha Systems CEO Son Jae-il.
The latest order marks another addition to Hanwha Systems' system supply deals with the Philippine Navy, with two 2,600-ton frigates in 2017.
