It remains uncertain whether future exploration will convert any part of the estimate into a formal resource.However, the new target suggests a strong possibility of additional underground potential at Bellchambers which occupies a 90 per cent Venus-owned granted mining lease that forms the centrepiece of the company’s advancing Sandstone-area gold strategy.As reported last week with EOY festivities building, Venus formally launched preparations for a pre-feasibility study (PFS) on Bellchambers, targeting completion in Q3/Q4 FY2026.The company is concurrently progressing environmental and hydrological studies, seeking mining quotes, evaluating ore treatment options - including potential toll-treatment arrangements - and planning deeper drilling through the first half of 2026 to grow the resource base.With the key mining lease already secured and deeper potential now quantified, Venus continues to push Bellchambers toward a future decision on production in the proven Sandstone gold district.While still early-stage and conceptual, the new exploration target highlights untapped depth potential at Bellchambers and provides additional optionality as Venus progresses its PFS and deeper drilling programs through 2026.Most exploration outcomes carry elements of risk, particularly at depth, but keen Venus observers could soon be rewarded by drill results that may convert parts of this conceptual target into additional resources.And unlike Earth’s inhospitable but spectacular planetary neighbour in the evening and early morning sky – which hosts a climate hot enough to melt lead - this Venus project is just a 700km drive northeast of Perth in a far friendlier climate which has historically proven productive for gold and offers very real prospects for further successful exploration.Is your ASX-listed company doing something interesting?
