Commercial vehicles manufacturer Ashok Leyland's (NSE:ASHOKLEY, BOM:500477) total sales rose 27% to 21,533 units in December from 16,957 units sold a year ago, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
Of the total, domestic sales were up 26% year on year to 19,855 units.
The company's shares were up over 2% in recent trade.
