0134 GMT - Samsung Electronics is set to benefit from favorable pricing conditions for memory chips this year, say Citigroup analysts led by Peter Lee. Anticipated average selling prices for DRAM and NAND products are likely to increase 88% and 74%, respectively, in 2026, faster than Citi's earlier estimates of 53% and 44%, they reckon. A severe shortage in commodity memory products is expected this year due to increased usage of artificial-intelligence agents and rising demand for AI central processing units for AI training and inference, they say. Citi raises its target price for the stock by 18% to KRW200,000 and keeps a buy rating. Shares are 5.1% higher at KRW135,000. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
