Aptiv Says Gen 6 Advanced Driver Assistance System Selected by Vehicle OEM for Indian Fleet

Aptiv (APTV) said Tuesday that a commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturer has selected its Gen 6 Advanced Driver Assistance System to equip its future trucks and buses in India.

The Gen 6 Advanced Driver Assistance System platform will scale across the broad commercial vehicle lineup for the client, covering 14 models and more than 30 variants, the company said.

The platform uses Aptiv's modular ADAS software and will include support for over-the-air updates to add additional features over time, the company said.

The company said that the solution will be powered by its Gen 8 radar and Gen 7 smart camera, featuring Stradvision's AI-based vision technology tailored for Indian road conditions.
