ArcelorMittal Enters Long-term Contract With EDF for Low-Carbon Electricity Supply

ArcelorMittal (MT) said Tuesday it signed a Nuclear Power Production Allocation Contract with EDF for its locations in France. The companies previously signed a letter of intent in January 2024.

According to this agreement, EDF will supply ArcelorMittal with a share of the capacity of its operating nuclear fleet for 18 years, the company said.

The deliveries started on Jan. 1.
