J&T Global Express' Earnings Likely Boosted by Southeast Asia Parcel Volume -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-08

0413 GMT - J&T Global Express' earnings are likely to be boosted by stronger parcel volume growth in Southeast Asia, say Nomura's Rachel Guo and Jialong Shi in a note. The Jakarta-based logistics company's parcel volume growth in the region grew 74% on year in 4Q, boosted by e-commerce partners' gains, expansion of non-platform parcels and increasing market consolidation, the analysts say. This offset slower growth in the China business' parcel volume, which was weighed by Chinese efforts to curb price wars, among other reasons, they add. They raise their FY 2025 adjusted net profit estimate by 8.0% to reflect higher earnings for the Southeast Asian market. Nomura lifts its target price to HK$14.00 from HK$12.50 and maintains a buy rating. Shares are up 3.45% at HK$11.98. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
