Meta Platforms (META) said Tuesday it has introduced new features to its Ray-Ban Display glasses and Neural Band, highlighting a broader push toward electromyography-powered, hands-free computing.
In a blog post to mark the start of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the company said updates to the glasses include a built-in teleprompter, finger-based handwriting for messaging and expanded pedestrian navigation to four new cities.
Meta also said it will delay its planned international rollout of the glasses in the UK, France, Italy and Canada because of "unprecedented demand and limited inventory." Meta said it will continue fulfilling orders in the US and reevaluate its approach to international availability.
Meta shares were 0.2% lower in recent trading.
