Millicom International Cellular (TIGO) has expressed interest in bidding for Telefonica's (TEF) Chile unit, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

A final decision on an offer hasn't been made, the report said.

Telefonica has sought bids for its Chile unit since last year, the report said.

Millicom and Telefonica did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.

Millicom shares fell 5.6% in recent Wednesday trading, and Telefonica rose 2.7%.
