China's Sportswear Sector May See Aggressive Competition in 2026 -- Market Talk
Dow Jones01-06
0945 GMT - China's sportswear sector may see aggressive competition this year, according to Jefferies analysts in a research note. December was one of the softest months in 2025, with sales falling at Anta and Uniqlo China, the analysts say. However, Li Ning continues to deliver a turnaround in sales, they note. "Most brands may have set unrealistically high targets for 2026," they say. Brands may further cut prices to pursue growth and this could be bad news for original equipment manufacturers who supply parts and components to brands, the analysts say. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
